                           Complementary and Alternative Medicine (CAM)

Complementary and Alternative Medicine (CAM) is a group of health practices that are different from regular or modern medicine. Some people use CAM along with regular medicine, and others use it instead of regular treatment. Common types of CAM include acupuncture, herbal medicine, massage, yoga, meditation, and homeopathy. These methods come from different cultures and often focus on the whole person body, mind, and spirit.

Many people like CAM because it uses natural products and helps them feel relaxed and balanced. It can help reduce stress, pain, and other symptoms. Some people use CAM to stay healthy or to help with long-term health problems. For example, someone with back pain might go to a chiropractor or someone with anxiety might try meditation or herbal tea.

Howevernot all CAM treatments are proven to work. Some do not have enough scientific studies to show they are safe or helpful. Also, using only CAM and avoiding modern medicine can be risky, especially for serious health problems. It’s important to talk to a doctor before trying CAM, to make sure it’s safe and used in the right way.
